Join the Young Labor Left contingent to the NSW is Burning, Sydney is Choking - Climate Emergency Rally. In the midst of unprecedented fires, drought and smoke settling indefinitely upon our state, Young Labor Left recognises the need for immediate climate action: demanding an end to the use of fossil fuels, a just transition for workers in the fossil fuel industry and a Green New Deal. Young Labor Left also recognises the need for solutions to alleviate the enormous suffering of those currently affected by the environmental disaster engulfing the country; calling for proper funding of our RFS, protections for workers forced to deal with toxic smoke environments, and funding to mitigate the health crisis that the unprecedented levels of toxic smoke have caused.
